ARTWORK
Limited Edition Lithographs - artist Richard Mountain was born and
raised on a bison ranch in Grey County, Ontario. He learned to canoe,
horseback ride and snowshoe at a young age, which had him constantly out
of doors. Growing up without a television, he has also become an avid
mountain biker, windsurfer, and snowboarder.
His pencil work is mostly illustrational. In 1996, Richard released his
first three limited edition prints of pencil drawings, and he has also
been commissioned for pencil work.
He has lived in western Canada for the past ten years, and is now
studying to become a Naturopathic Doctor. Richard has always been
interested in environmental issues, and plans to focus his art in that
direction.
Note: the man in the "Partners" print is Richard's father; the horse,
Poco, is the main ranch horse, and favourite of everyone. Truly there is
a partnership between the two of them.
